Border States stocks a variety of materials for disasters and emergencies. This inventory includes fuses, splices, automatics, armor rods, cross arms and braces, and a large variety of pole line hardware. We also have partnerships in place with our manufacturers that give us access to emergency material at their warehouses. Together, we have a commitment to get this material out as needed.
Access to the emergency stock begins with a phone call to customer service or by calling our Emergency HELP line at 1.800.800.0199. The HELP line is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

A South Dakota ice storm brought down more than 12,000 poles and over 9,000 miles of power line. Approximately 22,000 customers were without power.
