Border States Electric Names Stone Industrial Sales Manager

Bill Stone has been named Industrial Sales Manager for Border States Electric’s (BSE’s) Northeast, East, and South Central Regions.
Stone joined BSE in November 2008 when BSE acquired Harris Electric Supply Company located in Tennessee. He had been with Harris Electric for 11 years, and in July 2009, he was named East Region Sales Manager. Before joining Harris Electric, he spent 11 years with Schneider Electric. Positions he held there included Sales Engineer, Industrial and Automation Sales Manager, and Strategic Account Marketing Manager.
Stone is a Certified Electric Professional (CEP). He is a member of the Association of High Technology Distributors, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Industrial Supply Association (ISA), National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED), and is past chair for Schneider Electric Automation and Control Business Development Council. He received his Electrical Engineering degree from Auburn University.
Stone is originally from Rainbow City, Alabama. He and his wife, Lisa, live in Brentwood, Tennessee, with their son, Trey. He is a Deacon and Sunday School teacher for the Brentwood Baptist Church and is a member of the Board of Directors for Auburn University’s Alumni Association. In addition, he volunteers teaching math and electricity at Crockett Elementary School, and coaching youth sports and Destination Imagination.
BSE provides products and services to the construction, industrial, and utility markets. Active employees own 100 percent of the company under the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). The employee-owned company has about 1,300 employees and 60 branch operations in 14 states and Mexico. BSE is the 10th largest electrical distributor and one of the 100 largest private ESOP companies in the United States. Corporate headquarters are located in Fargo.
