Border States Electric Names Shane McMenamy Branch Manager

FARGO, North Dakota – Shane McMenamy has been named branch manager for Border States Electric’s (BSE’s) Farmington location.
McMenamy grew up in Grand Forks, North Dakota, and attended Arizona State University. He began his career with BSE in September 2003 in the Phoenix, Arizona, branch working in shipping and receiving, and at Will Call and the City Desk.
In April 2005, McMenamy transferred to the company’s Albuquerque branch as the Warehouse Supervisor. He was named to the Management Trainee Program in 2006, and in 2008 was named Operations Manager.
He and his wife, Amy, live in Albuquerque, and will relocate to Farmington. They have two children, Parker and Sadie.
BSE provides products and services to the construction, industrial, and utility markets. Active employees own 100 percent of the company under the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). The employee-owned company has about 1,300 employees and 60 branch operations in 14 states and Mexico. BSE is the 10th largest electrical distributor and one of the 100 largest private ESOP companies in the United States. Corporate headquarters are located in Fargo.
