The Board of Directors for Border States Electric (BSE) announces Jason Stein has been appointed Vice President Sales and to the company’s Executive Council.
Stein joined BSE in May 1995 as a part of the Management Trainee Program. He has worked in various positions including Product Manager, Automation Account Manager, and Northwest Region Industrial Sales Manager. In 2009, he was named Director of Sales.
Stein is a member of NAED’s Leadership Enhancement and Development (LEAD) organization, participates in Minnesota State University Moorhead’s Alumni Foundation, and is a 2010 United Way campaign leader.
Stein and his wife, Tammie, live in Moorhead, Minnesota, with their sons, Zachery and Ethan.
The Executive Council assists the Board of Directors in long-term planning, setting priorities, and enhancing communications across the management structure of the company.
BSE provides products and services to the construction, industrial, and utility markets. Active employees own 100 percent of the company under the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). The employee-owned company has about 1,300 employees and 60 branch operations in 14 states and Mexico. BSE is the 10th largest electrical distributor and one of the 100 largest private ESOP companies in the United States. Corporate headquarters are located in Fargo.
