FARGO, North Dakota – Tammy Miller, CEO of Border States Electric (BSE), was presented the National Association of Electrical Distributors (NAED) Distributor Distinguished Service Award. This award recognizes a distributor for outstanding and dedicated service to NAED and the electrical distribution industry.
Miller served on a number of the association’s boards, councils, and committees including serving as the Special Price Authorization (SPA) Distributor Task Force Chair and two terms as the Finance Committee Chair. In 2007–2008, Miller led NAED as the Board Chair. She was the first woman in the 100-year history of NAED to serve as the Board Chair.
“Service to the community and to others is one of the guiding principles I live by and one of our values at Border States,” said Miller. “Growing up, my parents were fine role models. Whenever something was going on in our small community in Brocket, North Dakota, they were and continue to be some of the first to volunteer their time and talent.”
